Guide ContentsEquipments for mages
Ok. I can’t really give a lot of details for equipments since I have not acquired all of them by myself (my rare god wand and book is given by my friend). I still haven’t figured out what is the (color) option of the items and I will update ASAP when i find out. (Read other guides for item options)
Basically, my wand and book is both “Hamat’s” weapon, which belong in the god rare weapons category. When you start a mage, you will be given a newbie staff. I suggest stick with store bought staff/wand/book until you reach level 15, unless your mage is the second character you created and you are rich already (wink, wink). When you reach level 14-15, go to dark forest and get yourself a good staff or wand/book from players. I suggest the weapons should be both god rare weapons (except Raa) since their Magic attack and MELEE attack are both high. (Melee attack will actually one hit some monsters). The cost usually around 200k tra so I do not suggest buying other kind of rare, not even halconed (enhanced) weapons (not until you are level 30+ at least). For armour, I suggest all black dragon rare, since they have the highest normal attack defence which a mage is in desperate need. Each piece will cost around 100k+ tra.
Another big issue is the buying of MP pots, however, they are a bit more important than health pots. For a mage to survive, he/she needs to kill the enemies before it reaches you. And later on, mages need MP to use mana shield and teleport to survive. The buying of pots should stick to the lowest grade until you reach level 20. Also, buy only 10 at a time to save money if you are poor , since monsters drop a lot of mana pots. If you can afford, buy 100 at once. |
