Guide ContentsKnown bugs/glitches
Travia is full of bugs, and most of them suck, but some are helpful. Unfortunately I am not allowed to relate any of the useful bugs. You wil have to find the useful ones on your own, and remember, they wil also be removed eventually, so don't get too used to them.
Some of the worst bugs are the even level bug, the TP bug, and the long range bug.
The even level bug is a glitch that kicks in at level 32. From that point onwards, every even level takes twice as much exp to get past it. If you gain .20 per enemy at level 31, you will get .10 per enemy at 32, then .18-19 per enemy at 33. This continues for the rest of the game beyond that point.
The TP bug mainly affects slow enemies. It is especially annoying in DC3, where Dwarun warriors/fighters can sometimes "TP" up to about twenty feet closer to you. The bug is a result of the enemies "actual" movement speed being faster than its "evident" movement speed. They look like they move slow, but they are actually moving faster according to the game's programming.
The long range bug is related to the TP bug. It results from the same error, but the difference is that the game records the enemy as being only a foot away from you, but on your screen, they are half the screen away. This enables some enemies to attack you without being anywhere near you, and is especially dangerous when fighting bosses.
Additional bugs:
Whipser bug- Not a true bug, but a product of the whipser system programming. You are allowed to have a space in your character name, but the whisper system includes everything after the first space as part of the message, not part of the name. This means that any character with a space in their name cannot be whsipered to.
More to come, I'm sure. |
